Eva hadnt been back to school since the party incident. It had been a week and though eva had felt fine for days, her dad had still kept her home as a precaution. It had been so boring and lonely at home. Sure she had family doting on her all times of the day but she had still wanted to be around others her age and species. It wasnt like she hated having vamipre family. It was just different. She loved her family though and she knew they loved her.
But now that eva had the go ahead to return the school she felt like she could breath easier. She didnt feel so trapped and smothered. If she was at school it also meant she was one hundred percent better. It was a relief. The whole reason eva was on meds was because she had bad anxiety. It wasnt just fears that caused it she was also anxious in normal situations. That and she was nervous something bad would happen. And after the party everyone made it a point to let her know she could have died. The mid of medicine and alcohol along with whatever else was in the punch had not reacted well.
Which was another reason she was glad to be back at school. She felt she owed tyler an apology and an explanation. It wasnt fair to him that everything went down the way it had. That and she needed to return his jacket. Eva hadnt realized it had come home with her until rose had asked her where it had come from when she had been getting things for esme to wash. Eva had to explain and said she wanted to return it. It wasnt hers to throw out. That and it gave her an excuse to talk to him again. So at lunch she set out to find him armed with just his jacket draped over her arms that was crossed across her chest. She had to make things right.

Tyler hasn't seen Eva in school for a while. And he was really worried about her. He couldn't even call her. He didn't even have her cell phone number to contact her with. Her brother scared the hell out of him. As he arrived to school that day he looked around for Eva but soon gave up when he saw there was no sign of her at all. She wasn't even in any classes they had together. This really bothered him. She gave him a little piece of quietness believe it or not. Even though he only knew her for a few hours. He liked hanging out with her. She made his personal life go away. Sounds strange that that could happen. He liked her. And hoped that she would be well. But as lunch rolled around he grabbed his food tray with his buddies and they sat at their table. He happened to look up as he saw her coming up to him. And he stood up. "Eva...?" He asked as he saw her coming up to him. She seemed better from what he saw as he looked at her. He smiled as he looked at her. His worries just seemed to melt away then....

It felt like everything was moving so slow. It took her a minute to find tyler. But there he was sitting with a few of his friends at a lunch table. They seemed to be enjoying themselves. Eva didnt have friends like that. She had family. And sometimes that was all you needed. It was all she needed. Her family was close knit and it was rather refreshing. Not everyone could say they had that. Not like what she had. It was special.
Slowly eva made her way to his table still clutching his jacket. When she got close he stood and said her name. Eva bit down on her lip softly. A nervous habit. "I wanted to return this." she spoke softly as she held out the coat to him. She knew she didnt owe him any explaination but she felt she should. It was only fair. He helped her and he then got the short end of the stick. "Can we talk for a moment?" she asked hoping he would agree and go off with her. She wanted a little privacy for this talk. Not everyone needed to know her business.

Tyler looked down at the football jacket. And sighed at that. He took it and smiled at her. "Thank you for returning g it." He told her as he smiled. He then heard her say she wanted to speak privately. He glanced at his friends and they were busy. So he placed his hand on her shoulder and led her out of the lunch room. And went to the football field with her. Under the bleachers. She wanted privacy. This was as much as privacy as she was gonna get during the school. "Okay. Let's talk." He said as he looked at her wrapped his fingers around a beam supporting the bleachers. It was true however, Tyler had no family that he count on. He was always doing things at the school. He didn't just participate in football. He was on the track team as well. But his strong point was football. He was even a fill in shop teacher. He loved carpentry. He build a lot of things. From beds to tables to chairs. He was a great teacher in that department. But he couldn't fill in all the time. The school board wouldn't let him since he was just a student. His soft spot was cooking class. He ditched art. Hated it. Cause that was his brothers schooling choice and major.

Eva handed the jacket over willingly. Then he began to lead her away and she followed along willingly. Tyler would know where to go for privacy more than she would. Eva never had to hide from anyone. She walked with him until they reached the bleachers. Watched as he grabbed the beams letting his muscles flex. He really was good looking. The thought made her blush and she looked down at the ground to hide it. "I uh i wanted tk apologize for the night of thw party. My brother can be a little brash." she started with. "Also i feel like i owe you an explanation as well." she continued on. She wasnt sure how he would take the information she was about to give him. Hopefully he wouldnt treat her different. That was a big reason she kept her health information private. She didnt like people snooping or to think about others treating her different when her family was already crazy protective.

Tyler laughed at the way she described her brother. Brash wasn't the word to do it. Crazy was more like it. He wouldn't tell her that though. And hurt her feelings. "I've seen a lot worse believe me." He told her. And then he let her go on about something she had to tell him. What was it exactly? He had no idea. He just waited patiently for her to answer him. She had his attention. Of course she already knew that of course as he waited quietly. What was the big secret? It seemed secretive anyway. The way she pulled him out of the lunch room like that. He liked her anyway. And that was enough wasn't it? He wasn't scared of her at all. Everyone else says stay away from Cullen's and the Black's. That they kept in the shadows. He didn't even know where Eva lived. He moved here not too long ago with his dead beat mother. School was the only thing keeping him sane. Honestly he hated the woman and couldn't wait till graduation!

Eva bit her lip a little. She was nervous. No one knew exactly how messed up she was out side of her family. She had a rough start to life but now everything was going great. But it didnt change how messed up she was. "I cant drink. Drinking whatever it was at the party reacted bad with the medicine that i already take daily." she took a breath to calm down. She was shaking from nerves. She had never been so nervous. "Edward is just so protective of me because of stuff that went on before i was adopted and with my last boyfriend that he kind of flipped out when he saw me like that. Im sorry he jumped on you like that though. It wasnt fair because you didnt deserve it. I did tell him he had to apologize next time he saw you." she like she was sure of her self but the next part came out more quietly. "Which i hope would be this weekend. I want to make it up to you and take you out to dinner. Maybe a movie." she paused for a moment and took a breath. "You know if that is alright with you." she hoped he would say yes. She practiced this speech all morning.

Tyler raised an eye brow at her as she said she couldn't drink from the medicine she was on. "That's okay. I totally get that. So don't worry. I won't tell anyone that. I promise." He had no idea at the time but this was the first of many promises he would make her. She then went on about her brother. And that she made him apologize to him to the next time they saw each other. But what she asked next floored him. She wanted to go out with him. Really? Him? He surely didn't see that one coming. But the way she asked was so nice and sweet. How could he pass this up? He did wanna spend more time with her. He was just stunned she asked. He was the guy right? The guy usually asked the girl out first. "You mean like a date?" He asked as he but his bottom lip. He never had a girl ask him out. He always did. Most of the girls he dated were all preppy and to into their looks. But Eva didn't seem that way. Which was good. He still wasn't sure what to answer to her question as he thought about it for a moment. "Come on Ty, be a man and say yes..." He said in his mind then. And looked at her with a warm smile..."I'd like that actually. But why sit in a dark crowded theater? When we can just sit and talk?"

Eva was nervous. Her last boyfriend experience didnt go very well. But here she was trying to try again. He had every opportunity to say no. What if he didnt really like her. Then this would be a waste of time. "Oh um yeah if thats what you want. It doesnt have to be a date if you dont want it to be. It can be me making up for a ruined night. A rain check of sorts." she hoped he wouldnt say no. If he would just agree to go out with her she could make him like her. Not out of force but she could show him who she really was and hope for the best. The party wasnt her element but get her in her own element where she was comfortable and she would shine. But first she had to get him one on one. And when he said yes her insides did cartwheels. "So dinner? We can go to port angeles and take a walk afterwards if that is better." she was so excited. He said yes!

He smiled at her and blushed as he looked down. That said it all. That he did really like her. Her words made him all soft like a big stuffed teddy bear. He nodded at her as he looked up when he thought the redness in his cheeks were gone. "A make up for last ruin evening huh? I like it that way. Not a date..."He reminded. Even though it really was a date. But he let it go. Cause she made him blush. And he accepted as he nodded. "What time should I be at your house?" He asked. As he realized he had to borrow a vehicle from his best friend. Who wouldn't mi d at all. Since Ty did have his licenses. Just no vehicle. He was really liking her more and more. And she would see that thorough his eyes. "I always wanted to see inside your house too. From the guys at school they say its huge!" He said as he smiled at her. He also hoped she was right about her brother though. Edward scared the shit out of him. And that was enough to make him distant himself from the man. "Dinner it is..."He said as he answered her question....

Not a date. Well that was a little depressing. Eva kind of hoped that it would be. It would be nice to finally have a good guy to date. To wipe away the bad memories of the last one. Eva still had nightmares of him coming after her again. She hadnt see him since that night. The one she came home bruised and broken. He had broken a couple of ribs and her wrist. Edward had found her running in the woods alone covered in mud and crying. It had been an aweful night. One she had relived plenty of times in her sleep.
Before eva could get too lost in her thoughts tyler spoke again. "Oh um how about 5? That gives plenty of time to get there and gives us plenty of time out before it gets too late." she knew what the rumors were about her house and family. She heard it all. But she tried to just ignore it all. Words were just words after all.

Tyler noticed she had drifted off into deep thoughts. So breaking that would be best. Obviously she was upset about something. That much was certain. It hurt him slightly to see her upset like that. Why he didn't know. He barely knew her. But here he was concerned about someone he didn't know. It was luck he broke her thoughts. And gave her an outlet to reality then. "5 it is then. Can I have your address? Since I've not been to your place yet? I mean I know it's out in the boonies. But that's all I know." He chuckled. This was gonna be fun. He had to think positive. Even though he was worried about her brother being there. He couldn't let that stop him. He simply tried brushing the thought out of his head by then. He certainly didn't want her to be upset at all. And so he was going to have to deal with Edward if he was going to be there.

Eva was odd compared to the kids at her school. She wasn't like the Americans. She had been born and raised in Italy and still had a touch of her accent despite living in the country for the last year and a half. She had different mannerisms and thought processes. She did things a lot differently. It was a big reason her family was so protective. Well that and she was a human living in a house full of vampires. That was a secret fact no one knew about. One she could never tell a soul. Her family's existence depended on it. It was during her reverie that Tyler spoke up. Eva smiled and pulled a pen out of her pocket. She grabbed his hand and flipped it over to see his palm. "Here is my address." SHe spoke writing it down on his skin in curving letters. "The driveway is tricky to see but if you go about 2 or 3 miles down towards Port Angeles there is a turn off on the right. Just follow that all the way to the house. You can't miss it if you stay on the path." She smiled as she looked up at him through her eyelashes. She was flirting and wasn't even trying to hide it.
