Personality:Edward is very charming when you first meet and very misunderstood as well. But once you know him inside and out he will be your best friend. He's very protective of his family, his wife and his child. Hurt any of them and you might not see the light of day. On the plus side he used to be shy around people but all that changed when he met Bella. Who brought him out of his shell and made him realize how good of a person he really is inside and out. And especially Eva is newest baby sister. He loves her with his every well being...he does get angry. When you push him over the edge he will take all his energy out on you. And you best disappear unless you want something heavy thrown at you. He will do anything to help out a friend in need. And give all he can to see that person in pain all better again. He's relentless with that kind of thing. He loves spending time with his friends and family going on vacations and having a blast at life!

History:

Edward Anthony Masen Cullen was born on June 20, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois; the only child of Edward and Elizabeth Masen. His father provided Edward with many advantages as a successful lawyer, including music lessons and the opportunity to attend private school; however, he and his father were rather emotionally distant due to his busy career that often drew him away from home for business. This absence was made up for by his relationship with his mother; he was the center of her life.

Edward excelled at his studies and became an accomplished pianist. As he grew older, Edward became enamored with the life of a soldier. World War I raged during most of his adolescence, and Edward dreamed of joining the army as soon as he turned 18, which he reminisced about in Midnight Sun, saying that his love for his mother was the only thing that made him reluctant to the thought other than his underage. That changed, however, when he and his parents became sick with the Spanish Influenza in 1918. His father died in the first wave of the influenza. Edward's mother later contracted the Spanish Influenza and begged the doctor who was taking care of them, Dr. Carlisle Cullen, to do everything within his power to save her son. (Elizabeth: "You must do everything in your power. What others cannot do, that is what you must do for my Edward.") Carlisle acted on her wishes when Edward was near death himself. Shortly after Elizabeth died, Carlisle took Edward from the hospital, brought him to his house, and there changed him into a vampire. Edward formed a deep bond with Carlisle, who became a father figure to him, gaining Edward's trust and love the way his natural father never had. It was Carlisle who first realized Edward's telepathic abilities; he noticed Edward answering questions that Carlisle had not asked aloud. Edward had always had a knack for reading people; after his transformation, this ability blossomed into a true psychic talent. In 1921, Edward gained a mother when Carlisle changed Esme into a vampire to save her life after her suicide attempt. Edward was still young enough to appreciate a mother's care, and Esme gave it to him.

Edward did have a rebellious period at the beginning of his vampire life and left Carlisle and Esme in 1927. During his lone time, he used his mind reading ability to attack the worst people of society, thinking that, as long as he was serving justice, it would not matter that he was feeding on humans. His first victim was Esme's abusive ex-husband, Charles Evenson. A few years later, he regretted this decision and returned to Carlisle's family and their diet of animal blood in 1931. In 1933, Carlisle changed a would-be socialite named Rosalie Hale into a vampire after finding her left for dead by her fiancé. Carlisle and Esme were sometimes concerned that he had no romance in his life, which was partly what prompted Carlisle to change Rosalie. However, as stunningly beautiful as Rosalie was, Edward could not stand her shallow and self-absorbed mind, and the two became nothing more than siblings, and weren't always on good terms. Emmett Cullen became Edward's adoptive brother when Rosalie found him near death from a bear attack and fell in love with him in 1935. Already vampires, Jasper and Alice sought out and found the Cullens in 1950, and adopted themselves into the family after both escaping their tragic pasts. The moment they arrived, Alice moved into Edward's room, much to his dismay. When the Cullen family were living in Alaska, they encountered the Denali coven, the only other group that shared their diet of animal blood. The leader Tanya showed affection toward Edward, but he did not share that interest.

By 2005, he had attended several colleges and universities, earned two medical degrees and studied several subjects. With his natural parents both passed away, he inherited the Masen house in Chicago, and about every 50 years, he would inherit his family fortune from himself, pretending to be a new heir.

Edward's gift is that he can read minds, hearing people's innermost thoughts. He has never encountered a person who is immune to his power... Until Bella shows up and he realises that her mind is impenetrable. At first this infuriates him, but it is also the catalyst for his obsession with her; How and why is her mind a mystery to him?

His brother, Emmet teases him about being the smartest, but since he cannot sleep at night, he has a lot of free time. He has become the most fluent in foreign languages, and he has read the most books, second to Carlisle. He also loves to run(or feel any speed), and he is the fastest runner of them all. He is also the most musical, he is always composing songs on his piano, like Esme's Favorite or Bella's Lullaby.

As Bella comes to grips with the truth about the Cullen family, she continually begs Edward to turn her into one of them. She dreads the fact that she grows older than him day by day, and sees her humanity as more of a curse than a gift as she is pursued by all manner of supernatural assailants.

His brothers and sisters include Alice, who can see the future, Jasper, who can control your emotions, Emmett, who has supernatural strength (even for a vampire), and the amazingly beautiful Rosalie. Though most of them trust their natural instincts and avoid her because of her sweet smelling blood, they eventually adjust to the change and support Edward's feelings for Bella. They are all vampires adopted by the mysterious Carlisle Cullen and his vampire wife, Esme.

While Jasper and Emmett's parents remain unknown, Rosalie and Edward talk of their parents. Alice is from an asylum and doesn't know who created her nor does she remember her past human life.

Edward is described as being impossibly beautiful. His face is angular and perfect--high cheekbones, strong jawline, straight nose, and beautiful, perfect lips. His hair, which is always in casual disarray, is an unusual bronze shade inherited by his biological mother, Elizabeth. As a human, his eyes were an emerald green. He is said to have a dazzling crooked smile. He stands 6'2", has a slender yet muscular body, and is physically 17 years old. His eyes are normally golden-brown or topaz when he is not thirsty, and onyx or coal when he is.

In Twilight, he is part of the mysterious Cullen family at Forks high. They do not associate with any humans for fear of exposure. He falls in love with human Isabella Swan and she finds out that he is a vampire. A baseball game in the woods exposes Bella and the Cullens to a rogue vampire trio: James, Victoria, and Laurent. James begins to obsessively track Bella, and bites her. She is rescued by Edward who proves his great love for her when he finds the inner control needed to suck James' venom out of her blood.

In New Moon, at Bella's birthday party she gets a paper cut, and Jasper tries to attack. Seeing the danger he puts her in, he decides to leave her in order to protect her. This devastates her, but she gets by with the help of Jacob Black, her werewolf best friend. When she jumps off a cliff for fun, Edward thinks she has killed herself. He tries to kill himself by provoking the Volturi, but Bella finds him just in time to prevent him from exposing himself to the humans in the town ruled by the Volturi. Edward, Bella, and Alice are brought before the Volturi to provide an account of themselves. Bella is allowed to live and they are released with one condition; Bella must become a vampire and soon.

In Eclipse, Edward stays with Bella and promises to never leave her again. He becomes over-protective of Bella being with Jacob, and worries about her safety. He later saves Bella and Jacob when Victoria comes to wreak her vengence.

In Breaking Dawn, Bella agrees to marry Edward, and so they do. They go to Isle Esme for their honeymoon where Bella gets pregnant. She fights (unsuccessfully) for her life, but successfully delivers their half-vampire, half-human daughter, Renesmee Carlie Cullen. Edward is able to change Bella before she dies, and the hardships are over until Irena (a member of an Alaska vampire family who live as the Cullens do, for whom human blood is taboo) tells the Volturi that Edward and Bella have created an immortal child which is also taboo in the vampire world. The Volturi come to judge and punish this great offense, bringing many witnesses. There is a show-down between the Volturi and the Cullens, who are assisted by their own witnesses and the Quileute Werewolves. The newborn Bella is discovered to be a shield, and is able to protect the family. The Volturi, seeing themselves at a disadvantage, withdraw.

Role Play Sample: Edward was home alone. Bella and Nessie were out with Jacob. Shopping and what not. And so here Edward was alone in his house. He was used to the storms that came to Forks. And was more worried about his step sister Eva. He knew she hated storms. And he grabbed his cell phone to call her. But got voicemail. Knowing Eva she used the cell till it died. He had to go to his family home and check on her. He knew she was probably scared to death in that house. His dad Carlisle let Edward know that the family went out to feed. And he was not that hungry. Plus Bella got smart enough to leave animal blood in wine bottles in the fridge. So he didn't have to go out and hunt. And that was starting to take affect. Hunger. He knew before he went over to see his sister he had to have something. He walked through the cabin home and into the kitchen. And grabbed a wine bottle. Lighting flashed too many times. And then thunder booms afterwards. He hurried up and checked his eyes basically checking they were golden brown again before he left.

He grabbed his car keys for his Volvo and flashed out to the car. And got in and made his way into the deep woods headed to the Cullen Family Home. He drove up instantly to the front drive way. And flashed inside the house. Knowing that the lights were out. And that it was pitch black. Besides the lighting giving light every few seconds. "Eva?!" He called her name out. Hoping she would hear him. He was worried about her. He listened closely for her heart beating. And found it instantly. And ran to the pantry. He swung the door open and found her trembled fragile self in the bottom floor as he knelt down in front of her..."Hey honey. It's okay. I'm here now." He smiled a warm smile at her. "You let your cell die again didn't you? Music?" He asked concerned. He was worried it showed on his face. He was worried. He cared and loved his sister so much. He never thought of her being adopted. Just as he didn't with his other siblings. He loved them all. And would do any thing and everything for them. He deeply loved his entire family. Including Jacob. Who he had a hard time in the beginning. But they've grown since then.
