It was homecoming night. The Forks High School Trojans had just won the football game and a lot of the students were throwing a party at someones house. Eva wasnt even sure she wanted to go but her sister Alice had insisted she went. It was a normal part of life she had said. So here eva was at this party feeling very uncomfortable and out of place. She just needed to survive half an hour. Then she could go home. A quick call to her brother would have her rescued in a moment. But for now she had to get through her time here in a personal hell.
The brunette took in a deep breath and made her way into the house. It was really crowded and smelled disgusting with all of the people smooshed into this small space. It made Eva feel claustrophobic. Slowly she pushed her way through the people and ended up in the kitchen. It was a lot less crowded here which eva had decided this is where she would hide. She was handed a drink by one of the other kids in the room and she took it to go stand in a corner out of the way.

Homecoming. Great. But once he was out on that field he felt light as a feather. Being the star quarterback. Tyler Hawkins won the Homecoming game! The last thing he wanted however was to go to any damn parties after the game. He was forced to go to this one though. By his best friend. Tyler might have won the game but he always felt like a fish out of water at these parties. But his friend forced and convinced him to go. Sure he was popular. But he was so shy. He walked into the house and was overwhelmed. He wasn't sure this was for him. He wasn't sure of anything. Sure the girls gave him sweet smiles as well as applauds from the cheering crowds that he was there. He just felt way out of place. And it was far from fun for him. When he knew he would be able to slip away he did. And headed to the kitchen. He grabbed a beer out of the cooler and twisted the top and took a big gulp of it to hopefully calm him down. He sopped drinking and took a deep exhale. As he tried drowning the sounds and smells from the party out of his head...
He wasn't happy clearly and was not aware of Eva even being in there with him. He hasn't noticed her at school before so why would he now. It was odd though that the star football player being so popular was so shy. It's usually the other way around. But not with Tyler. Blame his home life style for that. He never had friends comes to his house. Never had parties or sleep overs. But if he went out with his friend he was all over that. It was the quiet and shy type of popular guy that kept to himself. He would pay to break free of this party any given day of the week! At least he couldn't say he never experienced a party now. Now that he saw it first hand he hated it. And would rather be home with his video games than this. And that said a lot...He wanted out of here. And started coming up with some good excuses to leave. They had to convince his best friend. He wasn't easy to convince. He would go anywhere but home. Maybe late night surfing at La Push. That was a great idea! He just had to come up with a good excuse.

Eva had been standing there slowly sipping her odd tasting drink for about ten minutes.cup was almost empty. She was almost ready to call her brother when someone else walked into the room. The brunette recognized him as the quarterback of the football team. She had to admit he was pretty good looking. She also noticed what he was drinking. It was a really bad habit to start. Eva remembered the lectures they had gotten in health class about drinking. Especially if you planned on driving. That also brought back horiffic memories of the car crash that had killed her parents and almost killed her. Had her adopted father not found her she would have died too. She owed them her life for saving hers. IT was a debt she could never pay back.
The girl sighed as she shook herself out of her dark thoughts bringing her back to the present. She smiled softly in greeting to Tyler. She quickly drank the rest of the liquid in her cup and tossed it in the trash. "You know that is a bad habit right?" She asked him with a smile. She was grateful that the music was a lot more muted in this room versus the other one. It let herself be able to hear her own thought process that was already a bit off. Maybe it was just the environment. She couldnt wait until she could leave.

"You know that is a bad habit right?"
That voice made him jump. He turned around to see her standing behind him. "When you wanna get out of here? We can talk...Besides you aren't my mother..." Then again he hasn't had a mother since Michael died...."Sorry. Didn't mean to snap. I don't know you. So yeah. I really wanna get out of this place. I was just forced..." he replied to her in all honesty as he threw the beer in the trash. He could tell that she would rather be anywhere else but here as well. It was easy to pick up. But right now he would pay to get out of here. Sure he got attention while here. But honestly he didn't sign up for football for the popular crowd scene. He did it for a scholarship. And he just hit that goal when he won the game. Scouts sought him out. Watched him play and loved every moment they saw. Eva probably thought why he would even talk to her. He seen her around school a few times. But not enough to strike up a conversation. Tyler was shy though. So it was not a good chance he would start a conversation with her anyway.

Eva absentmindedly bither bottom lip. It was a nervous habit. One that her sister Alice tried to break her of. "Yeah i want to go too. My sister made me come. Something about normal teenage experiences and cant keep yourself locked inside all the time." Eva rolled her eyes. Her family was so caught up in trying to keep up the human facade that they often forced her to do the normal american teenage thing. But she wasnt a normal american teenager. She was an Italian teenager. Cultural norms were so much different between the two ethnicities. Eva just wasnt comfortable with some of the things Americans did. She didnt drink, smoke, do drugs, or have sex. She took good care of herself. And naturally she was very soft spoken and shy as well. Having the family she did made her a little nervous to interact and get involved. She was always so scared to let something slip that her family wasnt normal. Which spelled out bad for everyone.

Tyler looked at Eva and threw his full bottle of beer in the trash can. Following her advice from earlier. He wanted out of this so bad. But he knew if he tried escaping he'd be found out. "This sucks. Neither of us should be forced into something we don't want be forced into..." Tyler told her as he grabbed a cld coke instead then and popped the can open and took a gulp. "Oh yeah, that tastes much better. What do you say we be miserable together?" he asked her. Honestly he didn't wanna be alone. And she seemed really nice. And he liked her. He always saw her around school. But they never really talked because she belonged to the Cullen family. He'd always see her with Nessie. Another Cullen family member he tended to stray away from for some reason...He just was shy for one thing. He always thought Eva was pretty. But whenever he tried talking to her she was with one of her family members...So he gave up on that. And once he helped her out when her cell was low on its battery and gave her his to call who ever she needed to. She probably forgotten about that. "If I had my way, I'd so not be here to tonight. But if I wasn't, then I'd never get a chance to meet you finally. All the times I tried you were always busy..." He really was a nice guy. And had his friendly characteristics qualities about him that made people just wanna be around him. But he was shy. So it was not very often he went to parties. He wanted to get out of this one. Maybe Eva could be the one to get him out. Seeing that she didn't wanna be either it was a win win for both of them. "Hey I think I got an idea on how to get out of here. You game?" He asked as he took some peanuts and swallowed them as he waited for her response. ~~~~~~~~ Word Count::368 Tag::Eva Cullen

Eva blushed slightly. He wanted to hang out with her? No one ever wanted to hang out with her. Well other than her family. She was very timid and withdrawn from most everyone. She felt like she didnt belong. It wasn't odd for her to feel like that. At least thats what her dad always told her. He kept her medications current. Most importantly her anxiety medication. She had to medicate just to get through the day. "Oh sure." she replied quietly.
But his next comment made her blush even more. He had wanted to meet her? Surely not her. She was nobody in a see of people and he was star football player. Eva didnt even know how to reply to that comment. But he didnt miss a beat before asking if she wanted tonget out of there. Her head was swimming and she couldnt remember what her parents had kept telling her about parties and people she didnt know. But at the moment she really couldnt care. He was offering her an out so she could leave. "Yeah sure" she spoke with a soft smile.
She had been leaning against the wall the whole time and hadnt moved but the moment she did the room began to spin and she felt like the world was rising up to meet her face. Little did she realize that she was falling over and it all had to do with the drink she had gotten being spiked with alcohol and some other drug. Something she had no experience with.

Tyler noticed how she got all tensed up and quiet. Was it something he said? He wanted her to know him was that hard to believe? He was popular for sure. But was it so bad he wanted to meet her? From a distance he could see how pretty she was. But all his friends would say to steer clear of a Cullen. She was no good. They kept to themselves and never would agree to go out with you. But Tyler didn't listen to them obviously. Here he was talking to one. And she was really nice. What was so bad about them? The retired chief of police has a daughter that was married to one of them. And Charlie was very nice to Tyler. But as he looked at Eva he could tell there was nothing different about her. At least from his point of eye sight there wasn't. "Let's go then..." He reached his hand out for her to take and hoped she would. He didn't wanna be rejected by her. He felt something with her already. He loved the way she talked to him. It was soothing. Her voice sounded beautiful to him.
Tyler waited for her to grab his hand. He was rather patient. That was one good trait about him. He gave her a sweet, warm smile to give her more confidence. He wasn't a bad guy. He wouldn't take her and drive her somewhere to hurt in any shape way or form. But he remembered that Cullen's were very secretive and didn't trust new people very well. So here he was, sweating in his shoes hoping one would run away from this loud party with him? He really put himself in a predicament. But he wasn't gonna give up. And walk away like a scardy cat. He would either be accepted by her or rejected by her. If rejected he would listen to his friends from then on out. And not give a Cullen a time or day of his own time to try and hang out with them. But he wasn't the giving up type. Which was what gave him a position in football. He wasn't gonna drive her away. He couldn't really. He had no car. His buddy drove him here. So she was still safe. They could hang out on the lawn and stuff. Just to get away from this damn noisy crowd....

Tyler seemed the perfect gentleman. But she knew looks could always be deceiving. But she also knew she should give him the benefit of the doubt. He did go to her school after all and they were the same age. And worst case scenario she had her brother on speed dial. He would always jump and come to her rescue. He was her superman. Had been for a while. Edward was the one person in her family that she had clung to from the start. From there she was definitely a daddy's girl. She always tried to stay in his good graces and wanted to make him proud.
Eva glanced at Tyler's outstreached hand. Slowly she decided to take his hand and movex to take it. It was in that sudden movement that the alvohol hit her system real good. The world shifted from unxer hear and she grabbed his hand to keep herself upright and steady. "Whoa." she spoke softly trying to get her bearrings straight.

Ty caught her instantly in his arms. He wasn't gonna let her fall at all. He was to much of a gentlemen to let that happen. "Easy. Easy. That punch was spiked obviously. Come on. Let's get you some fresh air..." He replied as he held on to her and helped her head out of the back door of the house. There was a pool party. Great. He had to lead her to a part of the yard where most kids cared less about. The side of the house. And he sat her steadily on the cool grass. "Steady. I'm not gonna let go I promise." Seemed like a small promise at the time. But little did he know, he was gonna be saying a lot..."I'm here. So just take in the fresh air." He assured her. As he sat right beside her and held her close. He could tell she was a light weight and that she didn't hold liquor to well. Where as he could. But only drank on occasion. Never to obsessed with it...He hoped the fresh air would do her some good. He had no clue she was on meds or anything.

Eva had no idea there had been at least 3 different alcohols poured in the punch or that right before she had come in that some dumb kid decided to put a couple of crushed up ecstasy pills into it. But what she did know was that she had taken her xanax perscription right before she had left home. So everything was mixing together in her system making her a walking disaster. She had never drunk alcohol before especially with her meds. She had no idea how everything would react. And now one little drink was completely messing her up.
Tyler obviously knew what to do in this situation. She let the boy lead her outside and around the house to the side of the building. Her hand fisted in his shirt as he lowered her and everything began to spin again. "I dont feel well." she whispered. Eva closed her eyes and tried to focus on her breathing. She desperately wished she was home in bed where her daddy and brother could take care of her. They would know what to do. They always knew what to do. "My phone. Its in my pocket. Can you call my brother?" she whispered softly as she fought back a wave of nausea. "I want to go home." she spoke again softly. She was not having a good time.

Tyler frowned at her as she seemed to get a wave of dizziness. And sickness was soon to follow. Tyler didn't dare touch the damn punch. He chose drinks you had to pop open. So he knew those were safe. He just felt bad for Eva. "How much of that punch did you drink?" He asked her as he sat her onto the cool the grass. He was seriously starting to worry. And heard her ask to pull out her cell phone. He did just that. Then she mentioned she wanted to go home. And so turned her phone on and found the contacts. "Eva, who do I call?" He asked her looking at the contacts he saw a lot of Cullen's on her contact list. He sighed at that. He knew to call one of them. He just didn't know which one to call in case of an emergency. He wasn't completely sure that Dr. Cullen would be the best choice. Since he was her father. He just waited on for her to reply to him so he could call who she wanted. He knew she was severely sick. What he didn't know was that she was on narcotics. He let her lean in to him if she wanted.
If she paid attention she would see how worried he was too. He had that side of himself that was seen all over the school. He'd give you his jacket if you were cold. Which was what he just did for Eva. He took his jacket off to help keep her warm. It was rather cold out here. Then again it was pretty cold here year round in Forks. He didn't want her to catch a cold. It may be summer and all but the rainy season never ended here. And out doors could get pretty nippy. Tyler tried his hardest to keep her as comfortable as he possibly could. He did every thing he thought of. He just wasn't about to leave here to fend for herself either. He wanted to go home himself. But he was stuck here until his friend was done partying. He was the responsible driver. So Eva stopped him from making a huge mistake earlier...He grabbed her in his arms to give her warmth. He was no way in hell taking her back in that damn house. He didn't want her back in that atmosphere. This was the best place. It was certainly more quiet...

Eva leaned over and put her head on tylers shoulder. " i only had one glass" she spoke softly replying to his question. He was concerned and she could tell. She knew her reputation at school. She was the goody goody type that didnt do wrong and made good grades. She stayed out of trouble. She knew that if some of the wrong kids caught sight of her like this then she knew she would have issues with the kids there.
It was then she heard him ask her who he needed to call. Eva blinked for a minute. She hadnt even realized he had gotten her phone out. Was she that far gone. She really didnt feel well and almost felt like she was having an out of body experience. It was like tunnel vision. "Exward. He was supposed to pick me up tonight." she replied. Eva welcomed the warmth of his jacket and closed her eyes as she leaned against him. But another wave of nausea took over her body and she put her head down between her knees just like her dad had taught her before. This party royally suckex now. And she was certain she never wanted to attend another party ever again.

Tyler heard her say call Edward. And so he did just that. He was trying to keep her warm. He hoped she would be able to talk to her brother. But as bad as she was he knew that was highly impossible for her to do pass this point. So he hit the dial button and waited for her brother to answer him. When he did, Tyler told Edward what happened. And the older brother seemed upset. As he was being told what was going on with his baby sister. This wasn't going to be easy. And Tyler knew that from the sound of Edwards voice. This was gonna get nasty on his part. Tyler hung up and slid the phone back into Eva's jacket pocket then and sighed. He still held on to her to keep her warm. "He's on his way. He said something about you being on some kind of medicine. Xanax or something like that. It doesn't mix well with liquor..." He replied. Acting all dumb. Like he didn't know what it was. It was one pill his mom was addicted to. He sighed as he held on to her. Trying his best to help her out...

As soon as Edward got off the cell with a complete stranger, he bolted from the house to his Volvo instantly. And sped out of his drive way like a bat out of hell! He warned Alice not to make Eva go to that damn party. She isn't like the rest of them. He paid very careful to the road as he made the twisting winding roads up to the mansion party up in the hills. Tyler had texted him the directions. And so Edward picked up where the place was. It belonged to the Pettersons. The parents were away for the week. So naturally the graduation party would be held there. Edward pulled up to a stop in the parking lot. A few teens saw him and moved away from him instantly. It was like they knew. Damn this felt like high school all over again. Thank heaven he was married and out of school. He looked around the yard for his baby sister. And found her instantly with some punk! He rushed over instantly and knelt down beside her..."Eva?" He asked as pushed his way into her arms. Pushing Tyler back away from her...He was so worried and reading Tyler's head. Making sure the damn kid didn't have bad intentions...
